“Over the hills and far away” is a dark immersive field of crimson and shadow, sets the stage for sharp, electric blue interventions that feel almost synaptic in their energy. The layered surface is rich, textured, and atmospheric, it suggests a movement away from conscious form into something more instinctive and intangible. Suspended between tension and release, the painting evokes a state where thought dissolves into pure sensation, offering a potent, contemplative presence within contemporary abstraction.
